Park Avenue: Money, Power & the American Dream

I saw this on PBS last night and was very impressed:

Park Avenue: Money, Power & the American Dream

Makes you want to spit in the food of the Koch brothers and the rest of the 740 Park Avenue crowd. My guess is that many people actually DO spit in their food! Maybe this is why truffles (not the chocolate kind; the kind that smell/taste like dirty socks and are priced like gold) have become so popular with the wealthy…it is a secret food workers’ agenda to hide the taste of all the spit that ends up on the food prepared for these people. I can only hope.

Hats, shoes and clothes off to your feisty polemic against the neo-conservative Kochs of the world. Unfortunately the Koch family is not as well known in Australia as other wholesome American families, such as the famous Kardashian sisters. I understand that in the U.S. Koch is pronounced as in “coke”, whereas in Australia it would be pronounced “cock” and we have more of those in positions of power than you could poke a stick at. Still, reading between the lines I am sure I would have more fun at a tea party thrown by Kim, Kourtney and Khloe than one thrown by the Koch brothers.

Did you know that dog trainers recommend to dog owners that they spit in their canine pets’ dog food to mark the food with their scent in order to establish dominance and become the Alpha dog who leads the pack and gets to eat first? So if you want to become the Koch’s Alpha dog then go ahead and expectorate into their food to your heart’s content.

“We of the sinking middle class…may sink without further struggles into the working class where we belong, and probably when we get there it will not be so dreadful as we feared, for, after all, we have nothing to lose but our aitches.” (George Orwell)
